The Ukrainian-Polish cultural site “Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian region of Ukraine and Poland” was inscribed on the World Heritage List on the 21^st of June 2013 in the framework of the 37^th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.

This site, composed of 16 churches (8 from Ukraine and Poland) is the sixth among Ukrainian cultural, archeological and natural heritage monuments, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Ukrainian part of the site contains wooden tserkvas from Zakarpatska, Ivano-Frankivska and Lviv regions, including the churches of Ascention of Our Lord (village of Yasina), of Saint Archistratigus Michael (Uzhok), of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary (village of Low Verbizh) and others.
