The 4^th session of the Meeting of the States Parties to the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage was held on the 27-31 May 2013 in UNESCO Headquarters (Paris).

The delegation of Ukraine composed of Mr.Georgiy Psarev, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers of Crimea, Mr.Sergey Voronov, Director of the Crimean Republican Centre “Black Sea Centre for Underwater Research” and Mr. Viktor Vakhoneev, Head of Department of underwater archeology of this Cetre participated in its activities. 

During the Meeting the representative of Ukraine Viktor Vakhoneev was elected as the member of the Board and Rapporteur of the 4^th session of the Meeting of the States Parties to the Convention.

A presentation of a large-scale photo exhibition devoted to the underwater cultural heritage of Ukraine was held in UNESCO headquarters in the framework of the session with the participation of Mr.Andriy Ermolayev, Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies of the President’s Administration of Ukraine.

The first edition of the publication “Research and Discoveries 2012”, describing expeditions of the Crimean Republican Centre “Black Sea Centre for Underwater Research” was also presented during this event.
