Omelchenko Vadym
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France, Permanent Delegate of Ukraine to UNESCO

Vadym Omelchenko was born in 1963.

He graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.

Vadym Omelchenko served in internal affairs agencies in positions of the operational staff.

He twice served as an adviser to the Speakers of the Parliament of Ukraine, managed a group of advisers to the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine on economic reforms, and served as a consultant to the Parliamentary Committee on Organized Crime and Corruption.

Vadym Omelchenko taught at the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and at the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Since 2006 - President of the Gorshenin Institute. He lectured at the Ecole Militaire, the National Assembly and the French Senate, and gave many interviews and expert comments on the situation in Ukraine to leading French publications, including Le Monde, La Croix, and La Tribune.

Since August 2020 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France.

Since November 23 - Permanent Delegate of Ukraine to UNESCO.
